The regular study period in the part-time model is 8 semesters.

Full-time model: Work days, throughout the day\;
Part-time model: 2 evenings during the week and a maximum of 10 Saturdays per semester

Admission requirements

1. General higher education entrance qualification or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences OR successful participation in state-certified further training, for example as a master craftsperson, technician, business economist or business administrator OR completed vocational training and subsequent professional experience lasting at least three years and proof of the ability to study for this course from an entrance test or further options in accordance with the HmbHG (Hamburg Higher Education Act).

2. In addition: Proof of at least four weeks of professional experience in social and health services, such as via letter of reference, qualified work placement certificate, relevant professional training or proof of completing a voluntary social service year. The proof can be submitted until the end of the 2nd semester. The work placement may be divided into two units, with one unit having to comprise at least two consecutive weeks.

Full-time studies: EUR 535 / month or extended monthly instalment of EUR 460

In addition, there is a one-time final examination fee of EUR 500 for the degree examination. At the beginning of each semester, full-time students must also pay the fees for the semester ticket established by the Hamburg Public Transport Association(HVV) (as of Summer semester 2024: approximately EUR 176.40 per semester).
