The Master’s degree course "Literature – Knowledge – Media" at the University of Regensburg combines courses in German Studies, History of Science, Media Studies and European History in its curriculum and, with its integrated study programme, offers Bachelor’s graduates of these disciplines the opportunity to deepen the knowledge and skills acquired in their Bachelor´s degree course and to meaningfully expand their own qualification profile to include further areas of knowledge and methodological expertise.
Annotation
The critical, historically informed and theory-driven examination of the complex exchange relationships between written and visual media, between analogue and digital technical media and between everyday, academic and artistic language and knowledge cultures from the early modern era to the present is at the centre of the Master’s degree programme. It thus opens up a dynamically evolving interdisciplinary field of knowledge with a wide range of opportunities for both research and later professional practice in today’s rapidly changing knowledge and media society.
