Im Rahmen des Studiums Lehramt für sonderpädagogische Förderung werden aus drei möglichen Förderschwerpunkten zwei ausgewählt: Emotionale und soziale Entwicklung, Lernen, Sprache. Darüber hinaus erfolgt eine Wahl zwischen dem Lernbereich Sprachliche Grundbildung und dem Lernbereich Mathematische Grundbildung. Zusätzlich wird ein weiteres Unterrichtsfach belegt.
Bildungswissenschaften sind integraler Bestandteil des Studiums.
