Modern, sustainable and right next to the campus: the Wertherstraße 160–162 residential complex is one of the newest halls of residence run by Studierendenwerk Bielefeld and was designed specifically to meet students’ needs. The flats are situated in the immediate vicinity of the university and the HSBI. The building was constructed predominantly from wood and makes a conscious use of sustainable materials and an environmentally friendly energy supply.

Duration of housing
The maximum period of residence is four years.
Exceptions can be made for students who are preparing for their final exams (up to 15 months can be added to the rental period). Based on serious reasons, the rental period may also be extended by an adequate period of time. Applications to extent the rental period must be submitted in writing at least two months prior to the lease expiration date.
