Overview

The student residence is located in the city centre directly opposite the cafeteria "Nassestraße". It is conveniently located and you can quickly reach the university main building, the Juridicum and the campus in Poppelsdorf by bicycle, bus, tram or metro.

The former office building of the Conference of Education Ministers from 1962 was converted in 2018 into a modern, energy-efficient student residence with 66 apartments and eight double apartments.

Rent deposit
Tenants are required to pay a deposit before conclusion of the rental agreement. This always amounts to one-and-a-half to two monthly rents. The deposit is not subject to payment of interest (in compliance with Section 551 (3) of the German Civil Code (§ 551 Abs. 3 BGB)).

Duration of housing
In order to give as many students as possible a chance to rent inexpensively, rental periods in Studierendenwerk dorms are limited to six semesters. An extension can only be considered in exceptional cases.

Community facilities are available in the student residence. There are washing machines and dryers that can be used for a fee. There are designated bicycle parking spaces in the basement and outside.
