The student residence was fully refurbished to increase energy efficiency in 2013 and with 313 furnished rooms it is the largest of the Studierendenwerk Essen-Duisburg residences. The striking façade provides thermal and noise insulation.

The rooms have gigabyte Ethernet internet access as standard. All rooms also have a cable TV connection. These costs are already covered by the monthly rent.

Duration of housing
The maximum duration of staying in a student residence is ten semesters. The tenancy agreement can be terminated after the end of the first year of residence at any time with three months' notice. There are special regulations for ex-matriculation (only within the first year of residence) as well as for programme students and guests.
