Overview
The student residence "Allee der Kosmonauten" (referred to as "Adk" by the residents) is located in the Lichtenberg district of Berlin. Not located on a main road, the premises are quiet and green all round.
The furnished rooms are part of three-room flats, but there are also two- and two-and-a-half-room flats. Tenancy agreements are made with regard to the rooms. The kitchen and bathrooms are located in the flats and are shared.
A student club run by the student self-administration (SV) issues regular invitations to interesting events and parties. Students can use the courtyard of the residence for barbecues in the summer.

The [Student Self-management] has been instructed by the student union to help fashion student life in the residence. Using the available resources, it organises parties and celebrations at the student residence, film screenings, sports (football, swimming, ice skating, etc.), excursions and cultural events. Moreover, it is in charge of the washing-ticket sale, the washing machines and dryers, offers bicycle, board games, and sports goods for rent, runs and rents out the party cellar and offers sleeping accommodation.
All residents can become SSV-members and contribute their ideas as how to fashion life in the residence and how to improve the quality of life.
Single parent students and their kids and students suffering from chronic conditions or physical or psychological handicaps will be given a preference. Should there be equal applications for one living unit, the application with the earlier date will be chosen as a rule.
