Overview

The Studierendenwerk is building a publicly subsidised student residence in Zeisigstraße in Straubing using timber construction methods. The first tenants will move in on 1 August 2025. The new residence will be built near the city centre in the ‘Zum Stutzwinkel’ development area. It is also close to the university: the TUM Campus Straubing is less than two kilometres away.

The residential complex will comprise 85 residential units. There will be 23 fully equipped single apartments with their own kitchen and bathroom, including two barrier-free and therefore disabled-friendly fully equipped single apartments. There will also be 26 places in 2-person shared flats and 36 places in 4-person shared flats. All rooms will be equipped with a bed, desk, wardrobe and curtains.
