Overview

The Munich Student Union bought and renovated the only building left standing on the grounds of the old Stetten Baracks after all the others had been torn down. The building offers no clues as to its previous use as part of military barracks, and it now offer students a total of 245 modern apartments and rooms. Along with the halls of residence in Chiemgaustraße, it is the second building of military origin that now provides students in Munich with a home. The halls of residence are situated next to the new housing estate on the Ackermannbogen, between the Olympic park and Schwabing.

Additional information
Important information for international students participating in an exchange programme (like ERASMUS): Exchange and programme students are not able to apply for accommodation online. This is because the Munich Student Union allocates rooms for these students directly to the universities. Exchange and programme students should get in touch with the specific university directly.
