The Feldstraße student accommodation complex is situated in a quiet, green area, just a few minutes’ walk from the university campus and the railway station. The building at Feldstraße 17/19 is currently being refurbished and will be ready for occupancy in the 2026/2027 winter semester. One two-person shared flat and one three-person shared flat are being created per entrance and per floor. The building at Feldstraße 17/19 therefore offers a total of 40 students space to sleep, study and socialise

Duration of housing
Prescribed period of study (Diploma, Bachelor, Master), but at least for one semester (if the rent time is shorter than one semester, an extra fee will be charged). In certain cases, extensions are possible (must hand in application for extension three months before rental agreement ends).

Students who fulfil the following criteria are prioritised:
- foreign students who are disadvantaged in the open housing market,
- disabled and chronically ill students for whom the accommodation at the Studentenwerk Freiberg would mean a relief from their situation,
- students in an extraordinarily difficult personal situation,
- students with a child,
- students, especially beginners in their first course of study, who are not able to reach their hometown by public transport.
