Overview

The residence "Leipziger Straße" was opened in the winter semester 2017/2018. The completely renovated, four-storey building is located in close proximity to the Fulda University of Applied Sciences campus. The train station and the city centre of Fulda can be reached within a few minutes on foot.

The residence offers 56 single apartments of about 18 to 31 square metres in size, which can be reached via large bright corridors. All apartments are furnished (bed, wardrobe, desk, shelf) and have a kitchenette with fridge, hotplates, sink and wall cabinets. Blackout blinds ensure that the residents sleep well. All apartments have TV and WLAN connections.

The residence "Leipziger Straße" is ideal for those who like to live in the middle of the action without a car. There are hardly any parking spaces in the area. But the dormitory offers sufficient bicycle parking spaces in the basement.

Rent deposit
Until 31 August 2025, the move-in-deposit is €250 (€500 for family rooms). From 1 September 2025, the deposit will be three months' rent, rounded down to the nearest ten, but not exceeding €600.

Duration of housing
The maximum duration of residence is ten semesters. The maximum extension is for one semester.

In exceptional cases, the maximum residence period may be extended for a maximum of 6 months.

As soon as a place becomes available in our hall of residence (in accordance with the application), the applicants will be informed by the Studierendenwerk by email. Rooms are allocated after receipt of the application and in accordance with the occupancy guidelines.

After the application process, an email will be sent every two weeks in which interest must be confirmed. If this is not done, the application will no longer be considered.
