The rental deposit is EUR 350, or EUR 600 for short-term rentals.

The duration of residence is limited to eight semesters.
After expiry, it is possible to apply for an extension.
When applying for an extension, a certificate from the University of Kaiserslautern / Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences must also be enclosed, which provides information on how much time is still required for the degree programme.

Note: This residence is subject to an exceptional rule regarding the application. Fixed application periods are specified for initial applicants: From mid-January to mid-February for the summer semester, and from mid-June to mid-July for the winter semester of each year. New students can apply until mid-August.

Acceptance is by a lottery procedure. Applicants who are drawn for the available places can be accepted immediately, while the rest are put on a waiting list for the next semester.

If you already live in a dorm or townhouse of the Studierendenwerk, you can not apply for the dormitory Trippstadter Str.121.

Please note that once the online application has been sent, an automated e-mail will be sent to the applicant's e-mail address (confirming and checking the accuracy of the applicant's personal data).

This e-mail contains a confirmation link that must be confirmed. Without this confirmation, the Studierendenwerk will not receive the application!

If all halls of residence are full, the applicant will be placed on a waiting list. The applicant will also receive an e-mail every 30 days with a link to see if there is still interest in a place in a hall of residence. If the link is not confirmed within five days of receiving the e-mail, the application is automatically cancelled.
