Study With a Partner … But Choose Very Wisely

Having someone next to you while studying can keep you accountable and motivated.

But please, choose your study partner very wisely.

Your partner can truly affect how you study and the results you get. If you pair up with someone who only wants to “get it done” quickly or study just enough to pass, it will pull you down too. But if you’re someone who wants high grades, wants to succeed in your academic career, and takes your studies seriously, then choose someone who shares that same mindset.

try to genuinely push each other to stay focused. If one of you gets distracted, the other gently pulls them back into work mode and the best part of having a study buddy is that you don’t feel alone in the struggle.

And definitely choose someone who can survive an 11-hour study shift at the library without complaining

Allow yourself to feel tired but do not give up

Exam phase is not the best,  there are moments when you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or mentally drained. You look at your notes and feel like nothing is entering your brain or your brain just stop braining at some point and you just keep staring  at your laptop until your eyes hurt and sometimes you start calculating  how many chapters you still have left and almost cry and that’s okay.

Being tired doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re working.

During these moments, what matters most is how you handle the exhaustion. Don’t force yourself to stay superhuman. Take a 10-minute break, breathe, stretch, drink water, or go for a short walk and this is what I usually do and sometimes the best way to stay organized is to allow yourself to pause.

Your future self will thank you.

The Power of Consistency

One of the biggest secrets to staying organized is simply showing up. Even on days when I didn’t feel like studying, I forced myself to go to university, sit in my usual spot, and start with something small  a summary, a page or a paragraph.

Consistency beats motivation every single time.

Motivation comes and goes, but routine keeps you grounded.

Creating a study rhythm became one of the best decisions I made. It helped me stay on track, avoid last minute stress, and feel in control of my progress.

Creating the Right Study Environment

Your environment plays such an important role in the way you study. When your desk is clean, your materials are organized, and everything you need is within reach, you stay focused for longer periods of time. But when your space is messy, when you have to constantly get up to look for things, or when you don’t have water or your charger or your notes nearby, you lose momentum. It is  really important to learn how to creat a study space that supports your productivity. I organize my handouts, arrange my notes, prepare my laptop, keep my water close, and try to make the space as calm and structured as possible. This helped me stay in the zone for hours without breaking my focus.

That final cup of hot Chocolate that tasted like Victory

And finally, the last picture me drinking hot chocolate and smiling. This photo means everything because it represents the moment when all the effort, stress and discipline finally made sense. That smile came from relief, from the feeling of finishing something difficult, from knowing that I gave my best and pushed through every challenge. Ending exam season with that feeling of satisfaction is one of the best rewards you can give yourself. It’s a reminder that the hard work was worth it, that the organization paid off, and that you came out stronger and more confident.

When you stay organized, plan your work, choose the right people, and stay consistent even when you’re tired, you’ll end exam season feeling proud of yourself.

One more last thing straight from the heart: YOU CAN DO THIS.

No matter how stressed you feel right now,  no matter how behind you think you are you are capable of so much more than you realize. Studying is not easy, staying organized is not easy, and pushing yourself when you’re tired is definitely not easy. But it all pays off in the end. Maybe you won’t see it immediately, but you will feel it when you walk out of that exam room knowing you gave everything you could.

So keep going. Keep trying. Keep believing in yourself even on the days when you doubt everything. Your future self will thank you for the effort you’re putting in today. And trust me  the satisfaction that comes after working hard is one of the best feelings in the world. Stay focused, stay disciplined, and never forget that you are absolutely capable of succeeding. You’ve got this. 💛

Hi, If you are looking for a scholarship for a study or research stay in Germany, you can use the DAAD scholarship database 👉 http://www.funding-guide.de. To begin your search, please use the filter function on the left by selecting your academic status („Programmes for…“), country (country of origin) and subject area. This will allow you to display only scholarship programmes that are available for your planned project. By clicking on the title of a scholarship programme, you open the announcement of the scholarship. This will give you an overview of the programme and inform you about application requirements, the application procedure and application deadlines. In addition, you will often find contacts who can help you clarify specific questions in the announcement. DAAD Scholarships are mainly awarded for master’s degree courses, PhD programmes or research in Germany. Unfortunately, the DAAD does not award scholarships to first-year students or for the full course of study in an undergraduate programme such as bachelor’s degrees or state examination. Information on DAAD scholarships as well as information on scholarship programmes by other organisations can be found at 👉 http://www.funding-guide.de We also recommend that you contact your chosen higher education institution and ask about financial aid packages. You can get a good overview of various options for financing your studies in Germany here 👉 https://www.study-in-germany.com/funding.
